Buy Discount Disney World Tickets & Stay at Value Resort

You can save a ton of money on your trip to Disney World when you buy discount Disney World tickets. However, tickets are just one part of the financial puzzle when it comes to saving money. The three other major expenses are:

  1. Travel
  2. Food
  3. Accommodations

Today, we want to talk about the third expense on the list, accommodations. While the Disney World luxury resorts are pretty amazing, they’re not a practical option for families that are traveling on a budget.

Instead, we recommend you increase your savings by getting rooms at the Disney World Value Resort Hotels. There are currently five Disney World Value Resort Hotels, which can be viewed on the official Disney World website.

They are:

  • Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort
  • Disney’s All-Star Music Resort
  • Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort
  • Disney’s Pop Century Resort
  • Disney’s Art of Animation Resort (brand new)

We definitely recommend going for the Art of Animation resort since it’s the newest and most exciting. However, if you want to get the absolute lowest prices, look at the older Value Resort Hotels.

When you book a room at one of the Disney World Value Resort Hotels, you aren’t just saving on the cost of your room. You’re also saving on the cost of food. These Value Resort Hotels have food courts on the grounds that offer somewhat affordable dining options.

However, the real food deal happens when you bring your own. Pay the extra $10 per night to have a mini-fridge. Bring your own microwavable food or milk for breakfast cereal, and you’ll save a ton. Also, you’d be surprised how much cooking you can get done with a microwave and toaster!

Always double-check on what appliances your room will have before your trip. The types of appliances you have will probably affect your grocery-shopping trip and overall budget. Great foods to buy include microwavable pizzas, cereal, milk, orange juice, toaster waffles, bread, lunch meat and cheese, popcorn, granola bars, and more.
