Roller Coasters In Walt Disney World
When you think of Walt Disney World, there is a chance that you might simply think about attractions and rides for kids and not much to do for adults. However, you would be quite mistaken. Some of the rides at Walt Disney World are made with adults in mind. Especially the thrill rides.
The Rock N’ Roller Coaster – Located in Disney’s Hollywood Studios is The Rock N’ Roller Coaster featuring Aerosmith. Aerosmith has leant their music and their likeness to Disney for use in affiliation with The Rock N’ Roller Coaster. The Rock N’ Roller Coaster is a high speed roller coaster where guest must travel through corkscrews, loops and sharp turns in an effort to “make it to the gig on time.”
Expedition Everest – Disney’s Animal Kingdom is home to Expedition Everest. Expedition Everest is set in the mysterious Himalayan Mountains and features an appearance by the ever elusive, mythological creature known as the yeti. This roller coaster travels at high speeds and even goes backwards during certain portions of the ride.
Space Mountain – The Magic Kingdom theme park is home to Space Mountain, one of the original rides of Walt Disney World. Space Mountain is an outer space themed indoor roller coaster that takes place entirely in the dark. Riders board their “launch shuttles” then blast off on a thrill ride that is out of this world.
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad – Also located in The Magic Kingdom theme park is Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, a runaway train themed roller coaster set in the old west. Riders travel through bat caves and old towns as their train speeds increasingly out of control.
