Fort Wilderness Campground – Disney World
Are you looking to travel to Walt Disney World but aren’t a fan of the traditional hotel setup? If so, then Fort Wilderness Campground is the perfect place for you to stay while you are in Walt Disney World. Fort Wilderness Campground offers guests the choice between renting a log cabin and renting a spot to park your very own motor home or camper. The log cabins are completely furnished and can sleep roughly 8 people comfortably. When you pull in to Fort Wilderness you will notice that there is no giant hotel where you will be staying, just a building where guests go to check in. After check in, guests will go to their log cabin or park their trailer in their designated spot and then the adventure begins!
Fort Wilderness is home to the Hoop-Dee-Do Musical Revue, a dinner show featuring live singing, plenty of dancing and hilarious crowd participation. All of the food is served family style and a fixed menu, which includes fried chicken and fresh vegetables, is featured at the Hoop-Dee-Do Musical Revue. If dinner shows aren’t your thing, head over to Trail’s End Dining Hall for some more traditional dinner experiences. A third dining option, Crockett’s Tavern, is also offered to guests who are looking for more of a lounge experience.
Boat rentals are available to guests at Fort Wilderness Campground, weather permitting of course. Everything from small motorboats to large pontoon boats is available for guests to rent and enjoy.
Fort Wilderness Campground also features basketball courts, tennis courts, horseback riding, biking and running trails, arcade and boat transportation to various Disney theme parks and hotels.
